Recorded Webinar: What rhymes with resilience? Humanities get acclimated

This online seminar was held on May 8th, 2018 with an audience of over 40 people coming from 16 countries.

The presentation offered by Jorge Marcone (professor at Rudgers University’s – New Jersey, and a member of SARAS Advisory Board) was focused around the introduction of the Environmental Humanities field, the work being carried out, its origins, goals and current trends. It also seeked to explore and debate the potential contributions and divergencies that this field might present for the Humanities and the Socio-Ecological Sciences fields by drawing from examples from literature and the cinema.

This webinar was organised and facilitated by SARAS Institute and constitutes the follow-up and further development of the themes covered in SARAS 2017 public conference “Environmental Humanities for the 21st Century”.
