Course Collaborative territorial planning and ecosystem services. Second half of 2017.

Ecosystem Services, Resolution of Territorial Disputes, Multiactoral Negotiation, Legislation in Land Use Planning, and Environmental Justice

Objectives

Promote the integration of new issues and concepts in the actors of the management of Territorial Planning in Uruguay.
Propose an exchange between research on these issues and participants’ experiences, in order to find solutions to the permanent conflicts that emerge in the territories, between objectives of large-scale economic development and local sustainable scenarios.

Target audience

Advanced students and graduates in all disciplines related to the planning and management of the territory, officials of DINOT (National Directorate of Territorial Planning) and local offices of Territorial Planning throughout the country.

Teaching staff

The course will be taught by the University Center of the Eastern Region (CURE-UdelaR), the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism – University of the Republic (FADU) and SARAS Institute.

Online classes last approximately one hour and can be seen throughout the week. Weekly participation in fora is also expected.

Every Monday in September: one online class is enabled
October 5th, 6th and 7th: seminars at SARAS Institute.
