		<description><![CDATA[From information presented trough different chapters of this book it is possible to determinate that del Sauce lagoon system is currently experiencing water quality problems linked to high nutrients concentration (a process known as eutrophication). Process causality can be attributed to human activities developed in the watershed and water body. Damn construction in the 1940 decade contributed to process intensification by modifying the lagoon’s natural drainage, thus increasing nutrient retention times in the system. ]]></description>
